Mindfulness is an essential review of the importance of mindful living and being present in the moment in today's working from anywhere and everywhere environment.

Program Objectives:

  • Identify influence of mindfulness in workspace and overall well-being.
  • Define mindfulness and determinants of poor mindfulness.
  • Explore what good posture is in different positions.
  • Learn new strategies for practicing mindfulness.
  • Understand the connection of mindfulness and meditation to elevate well-being.
  • Utilize technology to support mindfulness practices.
  • Appreciate the long term benefits of practicing mindfulness.

Ingrid Yang - M.D., J.D., E-RYT-500, C-IAYT

Ingrid Yang is a board-certified internal medicine physician, intellectual property attorney, and certified yoga therapist. Dr. Yang has been teaching yoga for over 20 years and is the author of Hatha Yoga Asanas. Dr. Yang obtained her bachelor’s degree in Economics at Columbia University before completing her juris doctorate at Duke University School of Law. Thereafter, she was awarded her medical degree at Rush University School of Medicine, in Chicago, IL. She completed her residency training at Scripps Green/Scripps Clinic in San Diego, CA, and also completed two years of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Northwestern University. She is admitted to the California and New York State bar, and is an active member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

Erin also is certified by Wellcoaches, American College of Sports Medicine, Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES), and is trained in Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). She specializes in group coaching and program design. Erin currently has her own coaching practice (erinlitton.com) and is faculty at the University of Iowa in Health and Human Physiology.
